Greater kudus (Tragelaphus strepsiceros) arrived to our zoo from a Dutch zoo. The 2-year-old male and the 1,5-year-old female have already got used to the Tarzan’s trail where they live together with other antilopes, zebras, pelicans and giraffes. The greater kudu is one of the most showy and beautiful antilopes.
The second biggest antilope species is native throughout central and southern Africa. The adult bull can weigh 300 kg, its shoulder-height can be 150 cm. The main feature of the male is the corksrew-like spined horn that can be 1 m in length.
