A male leopard (Panthera parduc) was born at Sosto Zoo. The parents (the Danish male and the French female) have lived in Sosto Zoo for years, and they have had offspring every year since 2007.
After the 3-month-long gestation, the baby was born on the 11th of March 2012 with weight of 400 g.
The 4-week-old baby is breastfed at the moment, it will start to eat meat at the age of 3-4 months old.
The baby was named as Imoo, which means “darkness” in Swahili, since it was almost totally black with dark spots, but by now it is yellow with black spots.
